- Avalanche on Mount Everest killed at least 19 people
- a different avalanche left 250 people missing

Immediate responses
A
- search and rescue teams
- helicopters rescued people on m aunt Everest and also delivered supplies to villages cut off by landslides
- half a million tents needed to provide shelter for the homeless
- field hospitals were set up to support overcrowded main hospitals
- financial aid was given from other countries
