political ideology that emphasis individualism, equal rights and freedom

social contract- individuals join a voluntary agreement with the state. the state’s role is to protect individuals and individuals in return should abide by the rules. if the social contract is broken then individuals don’t need to follow them and may even overthrow them. no individual will willingly follow arbitrary rule.
