Asides states, there are equally important actors that can regulate state behaviour
Individual Dignity and Human rights are stressed
Conflicts are not necessarily caused by thirst for power but by conditions in which people live
Domestic politics allow an understanding of international politics
Free trade and commerce can reduce conflict in the international system - free trade must be promoted - interdependence
