Who is insured under liability?
- Anyone named in the insurance policy
- any person liable for damages caused by operating your boat or taking your dog for a walk (with your permission)
- a residence employee using your motorized vehicles while performing duties
- your legal representative if you die
- any person insured by the policy after you die
What is legal liability?
responsibility which courts recognize and enforce between persons who sue each other
Premises in terms of liability
Any premises (camp, seasonal, etc) the insureds frequent if named in the declarations
Are you covered for liability in a premises you don’t own?
yes, only if it its less than a 90 day visit
Are you covered while you move for liability?
yes in the new premises if your existing insurance is still valid and not beyond 30 days of move in
Is a cemetery plot considered a premises in terms of liability?
Yes
Is vacant land you own insured for liability?
yes, on its own or if delclared on your homeowners policy
