LG Electricty Flashcards
What is a conductor and insulator
A material that lets electrons through it easily is a conductor whilst an Insulator does not let electrons flow through it as easily
How is V I and R linked and what do they mean
V is voltage or potential difference I is amps R is resistance it is V equals I x R
How is C A and T linked and what do they mean
C is charge flow A is current while T is time
Charge flow equals curent x time
A circuit has 5 amps and 12 ohms of resistance what is the voltage
60 Volts
5 amps x 12 ohms
The mass of a wire is 0.00175 Kg and the heat produced is 205 000 J/Kg how much energy is needed to melt the wire in Joules
359 Joules
0.00175 Kg x 205 000 J/Kg
Calculate the current when 1.52 of charge flows in 0.40 seconds
3.8 Amps
1.52 divided by 0.40
