What is primary biliary cirrhosis characterised by?
A
Most patients with PBC are diagnosed on the incidental finding of raised ALP. Elevation of IgM is also a typical finding. PBC is characterised by: cholestatic LFTs, positive anti-mitochondrial Ab, and typical histological features on liver biopsy.
