LFI About yourself Flashcards
Tell me about yourself.
My name is Shing Cho, I’m 31 years old, I came to Canada from Hong Kong at the age of 12. I graduated with a Bachelor degree in Business Economics at York University and began working as an administrative assistant at a home staging company. In addition to my administrative responsibilities, I also helped with the physical staging aspects, which gave me a well-rounded experience in teamwork and attention to detail. I have two young sons, and my passion for public service and ensuring the safety of my community are key reasons I’m pursuing this career in policing.
What are some of your strengths and weaknesses?
One of my key strengths is my ability to connect with people from different backgrounds. I have a wide knowledge base, and I’m able to use it to break the ice and build strong relationships. This strength has allowed me to connect well with neighbors, clients, and my community. I also have strong problem-solving skills, especially when it comes to resolving issues creatively, whether at work or in personal situations.
As for my weakness, I have a tendency to dive deeply into research on everything I do. While this helps me avoid errors and allows me to be efficient in the long run, it can sometimes slow down the completion of tasks in the short term. For example, when I began my fitness training, I spent a lot of time learning about different aspects, such as what exercises to do, when to train, and how to optimize my body. This dedication to research can delay the start of action, but I believe it ultimately leads to more effective and informed results
