What is the scientific method?
Identify question, gather information in form a hypothesis, test, hypothesis
Quantitative data
Can be measured using numbers and units
Qualitative data
Observable has no no numbers
Has colours, smell, texture
What 3 components does CORRELATIONAL research have?
Researcher measures, one variable (X) and another variable (Y) then, researcher statistically determines whether they are related.
Replication
The process of repeating a study to determine whether the original findings can be duplicated
Halo effect
Overall impression of a person an observation on that person
