Static Choke from the Front (2 hands)

A

With one hand or both, swim arms over their biceps, slide down and pluck/pull the thumbs away from the throat while striking with a groin strike. If using only 1 hand, palm heel strike to the face with the other.

Inside punch/block defense against straight and low punches

A

As the opponent throws a straight punch, you slightly turn while using your same side hand to push the punch off course from the bicep area and to the inside while sliding your arm up theirs. If it is a low punch, use your elbow.

Static Choke from the Rear

A

Arch back while reaching up and behind with both hands. Grab and pluck, the thumbs down and away towards your chest, squat, and step off to one side. Release the hand of the opposite side of the way you moved (if you moved left, let go of right hand) and conduct an open hand palm strike to their groin area. Follow up with a number 4 elbow (elbow straight back to the sternum/stomach area), step forward with the lead leg and turn 180 while throwing a hammer fist. Follow up with a groin strike, straight punch/palm heal strike, and/or an elbow to the face.

Front Breakfall

A

When falling forward, fall into a pushup position, turn head, and let chest hit the ground while exhaling. Turn 180 degrees in the direction your head it facing and get into a defensive position on your back.

Advancing punch/Retreating punch

A

Take a step with your lead leg to the outside of your opponents body and send a straight punch with your dominant hand. Quickly send the jab with your non dominant hand while stepping back in a fighting stance.

Groundwork-on back-Movement

A

While on your back, get into a defensive posture, hands up like in a fighting stance, have strong leg cocked and turned at a 45 degree angle, ready to kick at opponent, while left leg is close to butt and used like a rudder. If going right, right leg cocked and up. If going left. left leg cocked and up. Use foot that’s on the ground to push off of to rotate.

Groundwork-on back-Getting up

A

(If right handed switch if left handed or situation dictates) While in your back defensive posture, sit up and keep the right leg straight while the left leg is close to body and left hand is open and up, facing the defender. Use your right hand to lift your body and swing your right leg under and behind you, while standing to get into a fighting stance.

A

While on your back, get into a defensive posture, hands up like in a fighting stance, have strong leg cocked and turned at a 45 degree angle, ready to kick at opponent, while left leg is close to butt and used like a rudder. As opponent gets closer, slightly bridge and kick with cocked leg at a 45 degree angle at their knee or shin area.

Groundwork-on back-Round kick

A

While on your back, get into a defensive posture, hands up like in a fighting stance, have strong leg cocked and turned at a 45 degree angle, ready to kick at opponent, while left leg is close to butt and used like a rudder. If opponent gets around you, turn to that side, get on your elbow and forearm on that side, dig same side toes in and with opposite leg, do a round kick, while turning in that direction, striking your opponent in the knee area.

Hand gun-1 hand redirect

A

Keeps hands low. Look at the weapon and use one hand to redirect it away by making your hand into an L shape. Once out of line of fire, continue to now grab the slide/frame of the weapon while driving it into their stomach, driving them back, and punching them with opposite hand.
