LETTER/EMAIL WRITING (examples) Flashcards
- How to organise interschool activities
Benefits:
- widens our peers’ horizons
- promotes meaningful friendships and ties with another school
Ideas:
- organise a beach picnic: chit-chat, play games, stroll around in groups - have fun while cultivating new friendships
- hold an interschool debate or quiz: a fuss-free event - form teams from students of different schools –> promote interbonding
- volunteer at a home - pair each student with a student from the other school
- put up a concert: ensure each concert item is put up by a group comprising students from both schools
- go on an educational field trip: find out about not only the wonders of nature or a historical site but also what makes the other school cohort tick
Don’t forget:
- to consider risk and safety issues - hold briefing talks on how students should behave during the interschool meet
- to organise activities that allow mingling
- to ensure students show respect to the other school cohort
- to listen to feedback, from both your school students and your counterparts from the other school
- to review the interschool programme and improve on activities for next year
