Q

What are the two most common fuse ratings, and what can happen if the fuse is fitted too high or too low?

A

The two most common ratings are 3A and 5A.

If a fuse is fitted too low it will blow with typical use (ie there is too high of a power demand and too low of a supply).

If a fuse is fitted too low it won’t blow when needed and will pass too much current.
