What is computer?
It is an electronic device, operating under the control of instructions stored in its own memory. It also needs to have an operating system.
What are processing Devices?
It has all the electronic parts of the Central Processing Unit(CPU).
What is are storage devices?
It pertains to hardware components capable of saving information momentarily or permanently.
What is a network device?
It refers to the equipment that enables a computer or set of computers to share data within the network and in some cases, with the internet.
Examples of processing devices?
Motherboard, processor, memory
Examples of storage devices?
Hard disks drives, solid state drives, flashdrives, memory cards, RAM, ROM, CD/DVD, floppy, pen drive, tape
Examples of network devices?
Ethernet cards, Wi-Fi cards/chips, routers, network hubs, modem, NIC, repeater, hub, switch, bridge, gateway
What is an input device?
It allows you to enter data and instructions into the computer
What is an output device?
It is a hardware component that conveys information to one or more people
What is a system unit?
It is a case that contains the electronic components of the computer that are used to process data.
What is a storage device?
It records(writes) and/or retrieves(reads) items to and storage media
What is a communications device?
It enables a computer to send and receive data, instructions, and information to and from one or more computers or mobile data
What is a computer hardware.
It refers to the physical components of the computer system ( as opposed to the software). Your computer hardware will consist of the devices within the case of the computer itself, and any peripheral devices that are connected to the computer
Examples of hardware components of a computer
mouse, keyboard, monitor, CPU, motherboard, RAM
What does RAM mean?
