Q

Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). Negotiation

A

Negotiation is a technique used to settle disputes and reach agreements between two or more parties without the help of an outside facilitator, mediator, or arbitrator. Facilitation involves an outside person who stays neutral, leads the process, and creates participation in a group. Commonly, local governments use facilitators during the creation of strategic plans and during council/commission retreats.
