The characters are the cows, the hens, the duck, and Farmer Brown.
Where is the setting?
The setting is on a farm.
What happened in the beginning?
In the beginning the cows use the typewriter to ask farmer Brown for blankets.
What happened in the middle?
The cows and hens go on strike and do not give any milk and eggs to Farmer Brown.
What happened in the end?
In the end the ducks the ducks kept the typewriter and asked for a diving board for the pond.
How do the Farmer and the cows compromise?
The cows give the farmer the typewriter in exchange for electric blankets.
How did the ducks get the typewriter?
The duck got the typewriter because the cows gave it to them so they could give it to Farmer Brown.

I know this story is fiction because cows, and ducks, and hens can’t type.

I think the Farmer will give the ducks a diving board but he will make sure he gets the typewriter first so none of the other animals can get it.
