Functions of art fall into Three (3) Divisions namely:
Personal Functions
Social Functions
Physical Functions
Art are most easily addressed.

Social Functions
There are a lot of them, and they vary from person to person.

Artworks that are made to perform some kind of service.

For example, a Botong Francisco mural can be a community treasure and a source of pride.
Social Functions
An artist may be created out of the need for self-expression or gratification.
Personal Functions
She or he might have wanted to communicate his mind or speak to the audience.

The artist was attempting to provide an aesthetic experience for both himself and the audience.

Must not be considered in judging works of art.
Function of Art
Not necessarily superior to non-functional arts.
Functional Arts
