- research question- researcher must consider their question carefully bcs it can be damaging
- methodology used, right to confidentiality
- institutional context - be mindful of how the data is going to be used and who is funding it
- interpretation and application of findings - consider how finding s can be interpreted in the real world
+ evaluation of socially sensitive research
+ many grps have suffered the consequences of being excluded from research or being misinterpreted
+development of ethical guidelines which protect immediate needs of participants (don’t deal with all possible ways of harm)
+psychologists should be energetic about taking responsibility of misrepresentation of their findings

w- there are always some social consequences from psychological research, but with socially sensitive research . It’s not sufficient to simply safeguard the interest of individual participants
