Mission Control and Multiple Desktops

A

Window management and enables the user to set up multiple desktops with different sets of apps, backgrounds, and so on.
Activated with F3, To switch between Desktops click F3 and choose a Desktop by using CONTROL + LEFT or CONTROL + RIGHT or a 3/4 finger gesture swipe.

Programs like Remote Disc are used by macOS tool for sharing an optical drive over the network.
To setup Remote Disc open System Preference>Sharing checkmark the box next to DVD or CD Sharing.
To access an optical drive, select Remote Disc in Finder.

Time Machine Bakcup

A

Enables data to be backed up to an external drive or partitioned formatted using APFS or macOS’s older extended file system.
Back up: Hourly backups for the past 24 hours.
Daily backup for a month
Weekly backup for all previous months.
When space is full Time Machine will delete past files to make space for the new backups.

Using Finder window in Time Machine, find the file/files that you want to restore. Then slide the timeline back to the date and time of the previous versions.

Recovery Menu

A

reinstall macOS from a system image, or reformat or repair the system disk.
To access the Recovery menu, as you power up the Apple Mac, hold down the COMMAND+R keys until you see the Apple logo. After selecting your language, it will boot into macOS Recovery, enabling you to select from the options shown in the following figure.
