LESSON 4: Tractor implements and safety rules LESSON 1:Site selection and Field preparation Lesson 2: How to grow a seedling? Lesson 3: Plant Propagation Flashcards
FIRST QUARTERLY EXAMINATION IN TLE
Is a multipurpose machine that can perform several farming task.
Tractor
Are accessories that maybe attached to the tractor, such as plow, harrow, rotavator, post host digger, and trailer or carrier.
Implements
Five most used Tractor___
- The first implements used in preparing the field. Use to turn the soil up to 10 inches.
Plow
- Used to pulverize the soil after plowing.
Harrow
- Has different form of blades, which maybe used to pulverize the soil.
Rotavator
- a modern tool used in making holes for installing parts of fences and in digging big holes for planting seedlings of fruit trees.
Post hole digger
- Used to transport f farm materials, tools and equipment.
Trailer
1, Secure proper training on how to use a tractor.
- Study carefully the opening manual, especially its safety instruction.
- Practice the actual use of controls and cautiously test drive the tractor in a safe place before using it.
- Always have presence of mind and think of safety all the time.
Recite
Is the branch of botany that studies fruit and its cultivation.
Pomology
Is measure of the acidity and alkalinity in soils.
Soil pH
Are microscopic parasitic insects that thrive in the soil and they feed on the plant roots.
Nematodes
Factors to consider:
1. Testing the soil for pH (Vinegar and baking soda)
- Testing the nutrients of the soil.
- Testing the soil for nematodes.
HH
Establishing an orchard on Mountain slopes:
- Soil fertility
- Sunlight
- Altitude.

LESSON 2
Steps:
1. Prepare the seedbed and fill it with rich soil.
2. Sow the seeds on the seedbed 1 to 5 inches apart. (Depends on the seed)
3. Sprinkle the top of the seed with water moderately everyday and spray each side of the seedbed with fungicide and insecticides.
4. Spray the seedlings with fungicides and insecticides every 2 weeks,
5. When the seedlings are 3 to 5 inches tall, transfer in any potting material with rich soil.
6. Arrange the seedling in a row and provide a pathway for easy management.
7. Spray the seedlings with insecticides every week

LESSON 2
Is used to by pomologist because they feed the pants and conditions the soil in a natural way.
Organic Fertilizer
Lesson 3
Three basic methos in plant propagation
- It is the simplest method used in vegatative propagation.
Cutting
Lesson 3
2. It is the method of growing roots for a new plant.
Layering/ marcotting
L3
Two method of Layering:
A, Process of developing roots to the aerial stem that is still attach.
Air Layering
L3
B. Produces new plant that are genetically identical.
Mound/ ground layering
L3
3. Used to join parts from two or more plants so that they appear to grow as a single plant.
Grafting
L3
4. corresponding cuts through rootstock and scion material are joined end to end and then bound.
Whip and Tongue grafting
L3
Four types of Grafting:
2. The cut is made in a form of simple tongue.
Tongue grafting
L3
Four types of Grafting:
3. Grafting technique where in scion with a single lateral bud from the desired plant is used.
Budding
L3
Four types of Grafting:
4. Surer way to improve or multiply fruit trees even for a beginner,
