Excitement phase (men)
Scrotal skin thickens and tenses, testes begin to elevate and engorge, unaroused state, partially aroused, and then fully erected
Plateau phase (men)
Loss of erection is unlikely, scoring maintains its thickened and tensed state, testes become engorged and elevated, cowpowers become active, corona may become further engorged, Cowper’s gland secretion
Orgasm phase: emission stage (men)
External urethral spinchter contracts, contractions of prostate gland, urethral bulb expands with seminal fluid, contractions of seminal vesicle, internal urethral spinchter contracts, contractions of ampulla of vas deferens
Orgasm phase: expulsion stage (men)
Contractions of rectal sphincter, contractions of muscles around base of penis, external urethral sphincter relaxes, internal urethral sphincter remains contracted, contractions of penile urethra (release of sperm)
Resolution phase
Everything turns back to unaroused phase
Aroused women
Experience lubrication (getting wet)
Excitement phase (women)
Breast size increases, nipple becomes erect
Plateau phase (women)
Clit gland retracts under good, labia minora depends in color, Bartholin’s gland may secrete fluid
Plateau phase inside women
Uterus is fully elevated, inner 2/3 of vagina expand, outer 1/3 forms the orgasm platform, clit withdraws under good
Orgasm phase
Uterine contracts and behind moving downwards to cervix, inner 2/3 remains motionless,
Please & orgasm phase in breast
Breast increases in size more, nipple is less erect, sex flush may occur on breast’s or upper abdomen
