LESSON 4 (Cell Structure) Flashcards
It is the basic unit of organism and can only be observed under a microscope
CELLS
What is the basic types of cell
ANIMAL CELLS,PLANT CELL,AND BACTERIA CELL
It is composed of one cell
UNICELLULAR
It is composed of many cells
MULTICELLULAR
It include bacteria and lack of nucleus or membrane bound stuctures called organells
PROKARYOTES
Include most other cells and have nucleus and membrade bound organells
EUKARYOTES
It is found throughout the cytoplasm
ORGANELLS
It is the canals for movement
ENDOPLASMIC RETICULUM
It makes and exports proteins
GOLGI BODIES
Makes rid of ribosomes
NUCLEOLUS
Digests and gets rid of waste
LYSOSOMES
Makes proteins
RIBOSOMES
Lacks ribosomes and makes lipids used in the cell
SMOOTH ER
Has ribosomes on its suface and makes proteins to exports
ROUGH ER
Site of cellular respiration
MITOCHONDRION/MITOCHONDRIA
Makes proteins and phospolipids
CELL MEMBRANE/PLASMA MEMBRANE
Gives stucture and shape to plant and bacterial cell
CELL WALL
Jelly-like substance enclosed by a cell wall
CYTOPLASM
Controls the normal activities of the cell and it contains the DNA
NUCLEUS
Contains the green pigment chlorophy II and traps sunlight to make food
CHLOROPLAST
Surrounded by tonopplast and cointains cell sap
VACUOLE
It has no cell wall or chloroplast and Stores glycogen in the cytoplasm for food energy
ANIMAL CELL
It is a eukaryotic cells that vary in several fundamental factors from other eukaryotic organisms
PLANT CELL
