It means great or royal songs. It is an extensive collection of classical songs that are usually accompanied by Saung Gauk. The different kinds of it includes oldest repertoires, royal court, songs of longing, horses’ dance songs, worship songs, songs of sorrow, and musics adapted from Ayutthaya and Mon people of Thailand.
