What advantages are there to studying God’s attributes?
It allows us to have a limited understanding of His Person
An attribute of God that means He is untouched and unstained by the evil in the world. he is absolutely pure and perfect.
Holiness
An attribute of God that means being right or just
Righteousness and Justice
An attribute that designates the perfect agreement between GOD’s nature and His acts.
Righteousness
An attribute of GOD that means chief or highest, supreme in power, or superior in position to all others
Sovereignty (Sovereign)
An attribute of GOD that means eternal - there has never been a time when He did not exist. He has no beginning and will have no end.
Eternality
An attribute of GOD that means He never changes in His nature or purpose. Denotes He is unchanging over time or unable to change.
Immutability
An attribute of God that means he is all knowing (past, present, and future)
Omniscience
An attribute of GOD that means He is present everywhere in the universe
Omnipresence
An attribute of GOD that means He is all-powerful, having more than enough strength to do anything
Omnipotence
An attribute of GOD that means He is the only true GOD
Truth
An attribute of GOD that expresses His practical expression of His compassion to those who have opposed His will.
Mercy
An attribute that means His love is unconditional; it is not based on the loveliness or merit of the object
