Quantitative research in a definite or exact manner and determines the extent of the effects or influence of the treatment on the object/subject
Experimental Research
one which the treatment or influence is applied
Experimental group
does not receive any treatment and chosen randomly
Control group
It uses scientific method to establish cause-effect relationship among group of variables
Goal is to establish cause-and-effect relationship
True experimental research
- Comparative technique in choosing the subjects
- Control Groups and are identified and exposed to the variable
- results are composed with results from groups not exposed
- Participants remains as one group and not randomly chosen
Quasi - experimental Research (Casual Research)
- Choosing a treatment group and another similar group
- One in which each subject is matched with another subject with similar variables.
Matched comparison
Giving series of pre-test and pos-test
Time-series quasi-experimental research
Controls treatment and condition applied to just one individual or a group
Single -subject quasi-experimental research
