Search is defined as the capacity to locate specific targets using intelligence assessment, systematic procedures and appropriate detection techniques

When conducting a vehicle search, what are the two phases?
- Initial Checks

What are your initial checks?
- Remove anyone from within and search them and their belongings
- PNC/CHS checks on persons and vehicle
- Carry out a 360 degree observation of the vehicle
- Look within the vehicle for anything obvious and note any obvious damage
- Be aware of the driver/passengers body language
- Look for anything suspicious or out of place
