Daoism (Taoism)
A philosophical and religious tradition that promotes harmony and unity with nature.it encourages to live calmly and peacefully
Legalism
Was made by Han Fei and it was the belief that people were naturally evil and selfish. Legalism also says that people need rules to be good people and if they don’t follow them they will get punished severely
Li
Li describes the actions that are right because of the needs of society
Yi
Yi describes the action that are inherently right, good and moral
Hsiao
Hsiao is the principle of filial piety, which means that children should respect their parents
Dao
The main principle in Daoism, which means “the Way.” All things in the universe are connected together through Dao
Wu Wei
Wu Wei is the method of following the Dao. This involves living in harmony and letting things take their natural course without interference
Yin Yang
Yin and Yang states that opposites fit together and depend on each other for harmony (i.e., darkness and light, life and death).
Confucius
Founded confucianism in 6th -5th century B.C.E
Laozi
Loazifounded Daoism in 6th -5th century B.C.E.
Han Fei
The creator of Leagalism who lived during the Zhou dynasty.
