The story as opposed to the theme on what happens rather than what it means.
Action/Plot
These are the people in the play.
Characters
Language and dialogue delivered by the characters move the plot and action along, provide explanation, and define the distinct charcters.
Language
This encompasses the rhythm of dialogue and can also mean the aspects of the melody and music compositions.
