The pronouns он, она’, они’ replace nouns:
Где Бори’с Миха’йлович?
-Вот он. There he is.
Где па’па?
-Вот он. There he is.
Где Марина Ива’новна?
-Вот она’. There she is.
Где Аня и Гри’ша?
-Вот они’. There they are.
These pronouns can also replace nouns for objects:
Masculine: Где чемода’н
-Вот он. There it is.
Neuter: Где пла’тье?
-Вот оно’. There it is.
Feminine: Где маши’на?
-Вот она’. There it is.
Plural: Где часы’?
Где кни’ги?
Вот они’. There they are.
To ask “Whose?” use
чей, чья, чьё, чьи followed by э’то & noun
Masc: Чей э’то чемода’н?
Whose suitcase is this?
Neuter: Чьё это пальто’?
Whose overcoat is this?
Fem: Чья это су’мка?
Whose bag is this?
Plural: Чьи ето часы’?
Whose watch is this?
Plural: Чьи это кни’ги?
Whose books are these?
The poss. prons. его, её, нх
have only one form.
