It is a studying a model text and patterning the writing styles after the model or sample text.
Textual Analysis
Going through the 3 stages of writing; pre-writing, drafting or writing, and post-writing.
Process aprroach
Collecting, analyzing, reviewing, editing, and proofreading data or the entire paper in a collaborative or interactive manner.
Social approach
This is called the ideation stage or the invention stage where a writer will carefully think of the subject matter or topic of the paragraph.
Pre-writing stage
Using words or phrases in listing down whatever comes to one’s minds about the topic.
Brainstorming
Group sharing of ideas about the topic.
Oral class discussion
Writing down of thoughts and feelings about the topic in a sentence or in a paragraph non minding any errors in grammar, spelling and mechanics committed.
Free-writing or Looping
Asking the basic questions of 5w’s and How.
Speculating
Gathering data about the topic by reading materials in the library, gov. publications, and in the internet.
Reading
Writing under the topic all ideas coming one’s mind in a columnar, or vertical arrangement, with some irrelevant ideas immediately stricken out of the list after listening.
Listing
Collecting data by asking unstructured/open-ended questions and structured/closed questions about a topic.
Interview
Dividing ideas into major and minor concepts, with the minor or smaller ideas classified under the major or bigger ideas in a column manner.
Outlining
Developing ideas about the chosen topic by giving or listening to the arguments and rebuttals of the speakers representing two sides of the issue: the pros or the affirmative side, and the cons or the negative side.
Informal Debate
Making encircled or boxes words surround or cluster around an expression representing the central thought or idea.
Semantic Webbing or Clustering
Writing down in a notebook one’s thoughts, feelings, reflections about people, places, things, events, or anything.
