We will be raised and our bodies transformed from mortal body susceptible to decay, hunger and temptation to a transformed resurrected body.

Hades is a place of torment and unrest. Hades is the place of the dead while hell has different meanings depending on the context in which the word is used.

They could now enter into the direct presence of God. Prior to Christ being on earth they were waiting for Him to come.

It appears they are at rest because they will be in the presence of God, even though their bodies are still in the grave waiting for the Resurrection. This is an intermediate state because they haven’t been reconnected with their bodies.

7) Will they be in the presence of the Lord and how is this different to heaven?

They will be in the fullness of joy in the presence of the Lord. This is different to Heaven where they will be in the complete presence of the Lord united with their transformed bodies.

The New Jerusalem will be located over the Mediterranean, either on or hovering over the earth.
