Inflection

Philology
The study of the history of language.
Phonology
The sound system of a language; the study of such a sound system.
Rejoinder
An often witty or critical response to a reply; an answer.
Rhetoric
The study and art of using language effectively and persuasively.
Speech that is elaborate, pretentious, or insincere.
Succinct
Clear and precise; expressed in few words.
Syntax
The arrangement of words to form grammatical sentences.
