Life Cycle
A plant that completed its life cycle within one year
Annual
A plant that completes its life cycle in two years, typically flowering and producing seeds in the second year
Biennial
A plant that lives or multiples years, often producing flowers and seeds repeatedly
Perennial
Plants that grow where they are not desired and complex with cultivated plants for resources.
Weeds
Structures in flowering plants that develop from fertilized ovaries and contain seeds.
Fruits
Edible plants or plant parts that are not classified as fruits, including roots, stems, leaves, and flowers
Vegetables
A two-name system for naming plants
Binomial Nomenclature System
A classification includes all plants that are similar in physical structure; the genus name is the first word listed in the plants name.
Genus
A structure in the cells of plants and some other organisms that captures energy from sunlight and uses it to produce food
Chloroplasts
Carbon dioxide is converted to sugar and oxygen through a chemical process.
Photosynthesis

A group of plants that evolved together and have similar characteristics
