Two General Kinds of Historical Sources
primary and secondary sources
are direct firsthand evidence regarding an object, person, or work of art.
primary sources
are analysis or a restatement of primary sources. They often describe or explain primary sources.
secondary sources
This criticism allows the historian to evaluate the authenticity of the documents by giving importance to the author of the document, the place, and the time when the document was written
correctly.
external criticism
deals with the analysis of the content of the document.
This means that the historian should evaluate the relevance of the content of the documents to the time and place of the phenomenon.
internal criticism
an Act to strengthen the system of management and administration of archival records, establishing the National Archives of the Philippines, and for other purposes.

is a government institution in the Philippines and serves as an educational, scientific, and cultural institution in preserving the various permanent national collections.
National Museum of the Philippines -
has a vast collection of print and e-books, print and e-serials, and special resources such as historical and personal archives of Filipino writers and artists, and Filipiniana materials, it is a haven for students and researchers alike.
ADMU Rizal Library -
is the first and only electronic legislative library in the country. Also serves as the center for the digitized archival collection of the House.
Legislative Library Archives and Museum -
established in 1950, consists of some 13,518 books, 18,674 photographs, and other materials related to the American experience in the Philippines and the relationship between the two countries.

was established on the 13th of February 1960, housed primarily the prized works of Filipino master painters, Juan Luna, and Felix Resurreccion Hidalgo, and prides itself in its ever-growing collection of Rizaliana memorabilia and Filipiniana materials.
