Rule 1 (General Rule)
Add -e to feminise and -s or -es to pluralise
eg. bleu - (bleue, bleus, bleues)
content - (contente, contents, contentes)
Rule 2:
Ends in unaccented -e, then m.s. and f.s. are the same.
Add -s to pluralise. m.p. and f.p. are the same.
eg. faible -(faible, faibles,faibles)
efficace - (efficace, efficaces, efficaces)
Rule 3:
Ends in l, s or n, double the consonant and add e to feminise.
Add s to pluralise
Eg. bas - (basse, bas, basses)
nul - (nulle, nuls, nulles)
Rule 4:
Ends in er or et, then add ère/ète.
Add s to pluralise
cher - (chère, chers, chères)
premier - (première, premiers, premières)
Rule 5:
Ends in - c, add -che.
Add -s to pluralise
eg. blanc - (blanche, blancs, blanches)
Rule 6:
Ends in -eux/-eur/-oux, then add -euse/ouse.
Add -s to pluralise
eg. joyeux - (joyeuse, joyeux, joyeuses)
heureux - (heureuse, heureux, heureuses)
Rule 7:
Ends in -f, change to -ve.
Add -s to pluralise.
eg. actif - (active, actifs, actives)
sportif - (sportive, sportifs, sportives)
Rule 8:
Ends in -g, change to ue.
Add -s to pluralise
eg. long - (longue, longs, longues)
Rule 9:
Ends in -el/-eil, double the consonant and add -e.
Add - s to pluralise.
eg. réel - (réelle, réels, réelles)
pareil - (pareille, pareils, pareilles)
Rule 10:
Ends in -al, change to -ale.
Adds - s to pluralise, for m.p, change to aux.
eg. général - (générale, généraux, générales)
génial - (géniale, géniaux, géniales)
Completely Irregular:
beau / bel -(belle, beaux, belles)
nouveau / nouvel - (nouvelle, nouveaux, nouvelles)
vieux / vieil - (vieille, vieux, vieilles)
frais - (fraîche, frais, fraîches)
doux - (douce, doux, douces)
faux - (fausse, faux, fausses)

Cardinal Numerical Adjectives:
Cardinal numerical adjectives precede the noun they modify, as well as any other adjectives (numerical or not) that precede the noun.
eg. J’ai deux livres.
Cardinal numbers - all invariable, except for “one”
eg. un homme (one man) / une femme (one woman).
