Bonuses were awarded to anyone who met high goals, but the goals were set to high for anyone to achieve them, so managers started to forge books to make it look like high production. Wages remained low and the product being produced was very low quality

Stalin forced peasants give all land to government, peasants were allowed to keep their house and belongings but farm animals and equipment were government property.
