Why would a film company release a videogame linked to a film?
It is an example of synergy. The products can cross-promote each other (i.e. if you buy/consume one it may encourage you to buy/consume the other)
Why are films regulated?
To help audiences make informed decisions.
To protect audiences from harmful content (violence in films is a major concern as it may affect the viewer or encourage imitation)
What rating did The Lego Movie receive? Why?
U – it is deemed suitable for all audiences. Lego wanted to protect its brand values and appeal to all audiences. It contains ‘mild fantasy violence’.

Parent company or a conglomerate buys out a smaller company that does something such as distribution
