Commerce Power
Congress can regulate interstate commerce, intrastate commerce, commerce with foreign nations, and commerce with the Indian tribes.
Commerce Power-Interstate Activity Regulations
Congress can regulate: channels of interstate commerce, instrumentalities of interstate commerce, persons and things moving in interstate commerce and activities that substantially affect interstate commerce
Taxing & Spending Clause
Congress has the right to tax and spend for the general welfare of the US. The allocation of conditional funding must be done unambiguously and cannot be excessively coercive.
War Powers
Congress has power to declare war and to raise and support the armed forces
Necessary & Proper Clause
Congress has broad authority to enact laws that shall be necessary and proper to execute any of their enumerated powers. The law need only be rationally related to the implementation of a constitutionally enumerated power
