Students with disabilities MUST be included in the statewide assessment systems.
2004 PL108-446 Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act (IDEA)
Require all special education teachers and paraprofessionals to meet Highly Qualified status.
Streamlined procedures and paperwork.
All students with disabilities participate in all assessment programs conducted by the LEA’s.
Allows the use of Special Education funds for Prevention RtI processes.
