what is legislation
a law or a set of law that has been passed by the government
why is legislation so important to businesses
because it is a constraint that business have to follow to ensure there business is fair and safe
how are legislations formed
they are acts of parliament passed into law by royal consent
What is employment legislation?
a set of laws that protect the employer and employees by defining the rights and responsibility’s of each.

what is regulations
after legislations are passed regulations can be created by the secretary of state. eg The Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations 1999.
what is duty of care
employees and employers having a duty of care to each other. employees also have a duty of care for themselves.
