Legislation and Codes Flashcards
What is a TPZ and how do you calculate its radius?
A circular area determined based on the trunk of retaining trees. A protection zone should be established for the duration of the project. Care must be taken to ensure that no damage is caused to Mornington Peninsula Shire tree trunks, roots, canopy or branches during construction.
The TPZ for individual trees is calculated based on trunk (stem) diameter (DBH), measured at 1.4 metres up from ground level.
The radius of the TPZ is calculated by multiplying the tree’s DBH by 12.
DAB
Diameter at Base
DBH
Diameter at Breast Height (1,4m from ground level)
SRZ formula
Structural Root Zone
(DAB x 50 )*0,42 x 0,64
Carport Minimum Dims

Formula of construction above 2000mm on Boundaries ?
Permitted 10m + 25% of length remaining. Ex.
Total length = 100m
10m + (25% x 90)
