Can you name some of the key secondary legislation which is enabled by the HSAWA 1974?

Management of Health and Safety at Work - undertake risk assessments
Display Screen Equipment - various requirements for comfortable workspaces, eye testing etc.
Manual Handling Operations - The Manual Handling Operations Regulationsrequire an employer to carry out a risk assessment on all manual handling tasks that pose an injury risk.
PPE at Work - Provide PPE, must be suitable, stored correctly, maintained.
Provision and use of Work Equipment - equipment for work is suitable, safe, maintained, inspected and training given
Workplace Health Safety and Welfare - Stipulates welfare standards necessary for most workplaces

CAR 2012 - assess risks from asbestos, put in place measure to prevent exposure to asbestos, provide appropriate work equipment, provide info, instruction and training to workers

What is the duty of the employee under the HSAWA 1974?
Employees:
- Care for their own health and safety
- Care for others who work with them who may be affected
- Co-operate with employer to enable employer to fulfill legal duty
- No acts of horseplay or violence if put peoples h&s in jeopardy
