When taking a new telehealth client, you must do these three things.
- explain tele is different, 2. explain interruptions and explain both parties responsibilities when interruptions happen, and 3. ask for their questions until there are none unanswered
When you update your Notice of Privacy policies you must do two things:
- make the policy available by request in the office, and 2. make the policy available by request on the website
When a client requests their medical record, how long do I have to comply?
30 Days
When a client requests an accounting for disclosures, how long do I have to comply?

Do I charge a fee for providing a client with their medical record?
I can choose to charge a “reasonable” fee or waive it.
How many years worth of disclosures do I include on an accounting for disclosures?
6 years, unless otherwise specified

If the client makes a request for this more than once in a year, I can choose to charge a reasonable fee for this for subsequent annual requests.
Does the client have the right to request to change PHI in their medical record? Can I say no? If so when?
Yes; Yes, when I tell you why the request was denied in writing.
When a client requests a change to their medical record, how long do I have to respond?
60 days

How many employees do you have to have before OHSA requires you to keep record of illness + injury?
