Lecture 9 Flashcards
1
Q
What is optimal test design?
A
optimal test design concerns assembling one or more tests form a pool of items. the tests have to be optimal according to a particular objective and they have to meet one or more constraints
2
Q
What is the aim of adaptive testing?
A
use as few items as possible to get an indication of a person’s latent variable scores, with an acceptable measurement precision
3
Q
Why is standardization of testing conditions necessary?
A
it is necessary to guarantee that test scores can be compared
4
Q
There are two types of adaptations
A
- accomodation is an adaption that does not change the measurement properties of a test
- modification is an adaption that does change the measurement properties of the test
5
Q
concerning adaptations for disabled test takers, the main types of adaptations are:
A
- test presentation
- response format
- test setting
- testing time
