what is the significance of art 20 tfeu
20 (1) - citizenship of the union is hereby established. every person holding the nationality of a member state shall be a citizen of the union. citizenship of the union. citizenship of the union shall be additional to and not replace national citizenship
what is the significance of the micheletti case
in the case of a person with a dual nationality other member states not entitled to dispute status of nationality of one member state on the ground that person concerned also national of a non member state
what union citizen rights are there
article 20 (2) tfeu they shall have inter alia:
a) the right to move and reside freely within the territory of the member states
b) rights to vote and stand as a candidate
c) the right to enjoy consular protection in a third country
d) the right to petition the EP and apply to ombudsman
