What cures are available for leishmaniasis?

A

No good complete cure. Very hard to completely cure it. Most people even if they don’t have many symptoms will still be infected many years later

What does it mean that leishmania is a zoonotic disease?

A

Animals are a major reservoir for the parasite and it can be passed from animal to human e.g. dogs
