1. Inactive TORC1 – Nutrient starvation/rapamycin treatment– Active TORC1 – Phosphorylated lowers Atg13-Atg1 affinity (Inactive form). Active Atg1 protein kinase complex = not phosphorylated – recruitment of core Atg proteins for PAS organization (upregulates autophagy) – autophagosome formation.
