- Majority have sex and are happy
- No sex = no opportunity, say no, not long enough relationship
- Condoms used less bc other contraceptives
- Pornography makes guys happier
- More consent = more unwanted sex

What are the trends of adult Australians in terms of sex eg sex during COVID lockdowns?
- Ideal 4-6x a week but actually less
- Less during lockdowns bc confounding factors eg kids, stress
Describe what female sexual dysfunction (FSD) is and in terms of the female sexual function index (FSI)
- FSD = hypoactive desire, pain, orgasm problem, big issue
- FSI <26 = FSD risk, 36% of 18-39 achieve this score
What are the trends with female sexual preferences and habits?
- 79% like sex
- 76% masturbate
- 72% orgasm frequently but more so with stimulation vs intercourse
- Frequency and duration less than expected but 57% happy
What are the trends with older women and sex?
- Much more STIs than younger bc less contraception from no pregnancy risk
- More sex as divorce socially acceptable
- Less sex education when younger
What benefited women from the sexual revolution and what are the issues with it now?
- Allowed women to have sex outside of child-bearing responsibility
- Sex has caused damage, might not be wanted, men benefited more
What are the 2 views of sex and what is the major controversial issue with them?
- Significance = sacred, special union in mutually committed relationships
- Recreational = no meaning, relieving bodily urge, relationships don’t matter
- Issue = if sexual assault is considered violence then you believe in the significance view
