Functions of the skin

Outer layer of the skin which consists of vegetative intermitotics with a keratinized layer
Epidermis
A protein found in the epidermis that is high in sulfer content.

2 layers of the Dermis
- Superficial (papillary layer). 2. Deep (reticular layer)
layer of dermis that consist of a network of collagen elastic fibers
Deep (reticular) layer
dermis layer that consists of papillae that project into the epidermis and carry vasculature to the epidermis.

How is temperature regulated in the skin?
sweating

where are sebaceous glands absent?
palm of hands and soles of feet
What is “teenagers bane”?
when sebum production from the sebaceous glands clogs the hair follicle and produces acne.
where are sweat glands absent
penis and labia minora
why are sweat glands termed eccrine glands?
because none of the cell part is secreted
