Monism
As opposed to dualism, there is only one substance
Idealism
To be is to be perceived
No interaction, there is only mind
The physical world is dependent on the mental world
All properties are secondary properties
Empiricism
Knowledge stems from experience through observation

Properties that are independent of the perceived (temperature in degrees)
