  • family (maternity, adoption, parental, bereavement, crime/child death)
  • interpersonal violence - notice to employer: ASAP
  • medical - notice to employer: 4 weeks for organ donation & mat leave, other illnesses/bereavement ASAP
  • public health emergency - notice to employer: ASAP
  • service - notice to employer: 4 weeks
    If the leave is less than 60 days they are entitled to the same job upon return. If it is more than 60 days they are entitled to a comparable or similar job.
