A theoretical framework that views the environment as consisting of ecological and social processes and components, including biomes, humans and wildlife
What is Brucellosis?
A disease that causes failed pregnancies among cattle, and can cause farmers to lose their ‘Brucellosis free’ status for beef sales and can affect their economic sustainability
Management of bison in the Greater Yellowstone ecosystem
- The Interagency Bison Management Plan - co-operative effort led by state, federal and tribal groups
- Stakeholders worry that free roaming bison transmit Brucellosis to cattle
- Aimed to collectively develop a systemic worldview of the problem and to find new strategies for bison and Brucellosis management
